Meetings: First Thursday of every month at 10:00am

Who is the Women’s Council?

The Women’s Council is made up of all the women of the parish, whether they are active members or not.  The Women’s Council meets once a month during the school year at 10am on the first Thursday of the month (except for December and June when they host celebrations).  All women of the parish are welcome at meetings, social gatherings, and fundraisers.

What events and ministries does the Women’s Council coordinate each year?

Each year the Women’s Council holds two major fundraisers: the Holiday Boutique on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and the rummage sale in the spring.  In addition, they host and/or provide hospitality for a variety of  events such as Fr. Juettner’s chili luncheon, the sacramental reception, community dinners, St. Anne’s Christmas party, the Advent musical, as well as other events.  The Women’s Council serves funeral luncheons, launders linens used in the Mass, and coordinates Bingo for Corn Days.

Who benefits from the work of the Women’s Council?

During 2018, the Women’s Council donated more than $4,500 to non-profit charities in our community and across the world.  They donated an even larger amount to the parish, purchasing a new oven, bells for Mass, a ciborium with an attachment for the low-gluten hosts, and an Easter candle for the chapel, as well as contributing to the new planters, funding the SWAG youth group, subsidizing the Red Lake Mission trip, and providing staff and volunteer gifts.  The Women’s Council also donated gifts to the residents of St. Anne’s Place, a shelter for women and children, and to the Appalachia Christmas project which provides gifts for needy families.

How can you get involved and support the work of the Women’s Council?

If you would like to become more involved in the Women’s Council, you can attend monthly meetings or simply volunteer at one of our events.  We are always looking for helpers at funeral luncheons and social events.  For more information, please contact a Women’s Council officer:
